We Have The Victory

It is Thursday morning, 17th December 2020, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for the day.

If we go to the Word of God in Revelation, Chapter 12 and verse 11, this is what the Word of God says:

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

We have the victory. The devil has been properly beaten and conquered by The Lord Jesus Christ.

The greatest battle that has ever taken place took place on Calvary on that cross, when the devil thought he had beaten The Lord, once and for all, but of course as always he is a fool, a coward and a bully.

If we look at John 19 and verse 30, Jesus bowed His head and He said, “It is finished!”

He had once and for all beaten the devil because three days later, Christ rose from the dead.

You and I in this time in which we are living, as Christmas is fast approaching, there is so much uncertainty, so much fear in the world.

This Cover 19 has been taken completely out of context and it is as if the Covid 19 has got the victory.

I want to reassure you, my dear friend, today that Jesus is Lord.

He has defeated the devil. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.

We need to testify to the fact that Jesus Christ is Lord over any disease, any sickness.

If fact, He is Lord over death itself because He rose from the dead.

He is our ultimate Champion and we need to remember that at all times.

I remember as a young boy, maybe 10 years old, going down to a rugby match.

We did it regularly, with my brother and my dad.

My dad was a blacksmith by trade, probably one of the strongest men I have ever met.

He would work on that anvil and that steam hammer, all day long, and when I walked into that rugby stadium, next to my dad, holding my hand, and with my brother’s hand on the other side, I felt so secure.

I saw my dad as the strongest man who had ever lived.

If the heavy-weight boxing champion of the world had walked along, I felt like he would have stepped aside when he saw my dad walking down the path.

Oh my friend, Jesus Christ will never leave you nor forsake you!

He is your Friend. You need to testify to that fact and don’t be concerned about death because death has lost it’s sting. Jesus is Lord!

Have a wonderful day.
