Be strong in the Lord

Morning team, prayer focus for this week:

There ‘seems’ to to be little action from the enemy camp this past week, but that means that this week we need to watch and to pray with greater discernment and with spiritual eyes that see more than seeing. To keep watch faithfully, watching as to where the Spirit of God is moving because it is there that the enemy will be working deception and destruction.

We need to look out for a renewed wave of enemy attacks. He seeks to work his works from the inside, not from the outside. It's Rugby season and most of us are watching rugby matches over the weekend. In every match, after the half-time break, the players start coming on from off the bench, at strategic times as directed by the coach. These players are no longer just reserves, in case one player is injured. They are impact players brought on to add speed, strength and renewed energy and to inspire their team to win the match.

At this time we need to remember that Satan also has a bench of impact players, that are ‘warming up’ to come on to the field, as he directs them.

This is for a renewed onslaught against the plans and purposes of God for the nation and especially against the IT’S TIME prayer meeting on the 27th October.

We need to focus on open doors which give the enemy, and those whom he uses, a place to come in and work to deceive, divide and to steal, kill and destroy. His strategy is to bring offence, resentment, discontent, jealousy and pride among us - in our families, those we work with and those who work to prepare for IT’S TIME.

Watch and Pray
Our God has taken victory over all the works of darkness. We need to declare His victory!

From 2 Samuel 22:26: “To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless, to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the devious you show yourself shrewd. You save the humble, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them low.

VS 31: He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”

This week we need to be strong in the Lord Ephesians 6:10 and remember that our work of intercession is not in vain if we will seek and find Father's heart and prayerfully obey His Word.

Shalom.
