Open Your Eyes

The Word of God is full of wonderful promises, but many people don't see or appreciate them. One of my favourite scriptures in God's Word is in 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV):

But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

Wow, what a beautiful promise! We need to open our eyes wide to see the promises God has in store for us, and we need to open our ears to hear the wonderful blessings and instructions He has for each of us. 
Yes, we know that things are tough at the moment. My youngest son, Fergus (a father of three himself), when he was very young, while we were out for a ride, said to me: "Dad, I've got a scripture for you." Psalm 34:19:

Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all.

We know there are times of extreme testing at the moment, but at the same time, there are blessings and promises from God for each of us if we dare to believe. Today, open your spiritual eyes and ears - ask the Lord Jesus Christ, through the power of His Holy Spirit, to reveal them to you.
