Rebuking the Devourer

In the word of God in Malachi 3:11, the Lord says:

“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground,
Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,”

To encourage the farmers and all of us, whether we are businessmen, doctors, nurses, lawyers, mechanics, or traffic officers, we must remember that the Lord has given us a promise that He will rebuke the devourer. He will put the devourer away for our sake.

As a young man, I remember, many times, having a crop that looked like a disaster. Either from drought, not enough rain or from floods, too much rain, or insect damage. 
Often, I thought that it would be the end of us. But as it turned out, everybody else was experiencing the same trials. So the effect on the price of the crop, whether it was maize, wheat, cabbages, or the price of beef was the same, everyone was in the same situation. 
The price went up very, very high. Even though we reaped a very average to poor crop, we probably made more profit those times, than in a year where there was an abundant yield, but the price was rock bottom.

Today, trust the Lord; He is the one who will undertake for you. 
Just do your best and leave the rest to Him, you will be pleasantly surprised by what He has in store for you.
