He Will Never Forget You

Are you feeling forgotten this morning?

Do you feel that maybe the Lord has forgotten the promises that He has made you?

Oh! My dear friend. Please put them aside.

He will never forget you. He loves you so much.

The Lord says in Isaiah chapter 49 and verse 15:

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb?

Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.”

and verse 16 says,

“See I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands.”

That’s right, Jesus was crucified for you and me.

He will never ever forget you.

Psalm37:4 says:

” Delight yourselves in the Lord,

And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

Now you’re not going to believe what I’m going to tell you but last night I received a letter from England.

The letter is from a lady who is the wife of a minister of a church I attended 56 years ago.

Can you believe that?

I was a mere lad of 17 years old and this lovely lady reminded me that I headed up their youth church in 1964.

It’s been a long journey but I want to tell you that the Lord has not forgotten me.

You Know, when I was 17 years old, I wasn’t much of a success at school.

I was underweight. I was full of pimples. I had no self-confidence.

I used to go out on an afternoon after I got back from school with my dog and I would sit on an anthill, and I would speak to God and I would say to the Lord Jesus,” Lord, I want to be a preacher one day.

I want to preach to thousands of people.”

I used to stand up on that anthill and I would visualize preaching to large crowds of thousands of people.

And you know, I went to see my minister and I told him I want to be a preacher and he said,” Well you’ve got to go to university and you’ve got to study.”

Well, I didn’t have a university entrance qualification and I must confess I drifted off into the far country. I traveled all over the world.

I was a cowboy in Australia.

I was a farmer in Scotland. I went to Zambia and Swaziland but you know He has never forgotten me and He will never forget you because as you probably know, He has given me more than the desires of my heart.

The Lord says in Hebrews chapter 13 verse 5, “I will never leave you and I will never forsake you.”

The Passion translation says,” I will never leave you alone. Never. I will not loosen my grip on your life.”

God bless you today and remember He will never forget you and you will never be alone.

You Will Not Need To Fight This Battle

Many years ago, when I arrived from Zambia, I didn’t have much equipment, in fact, I had one little Leyland tractor and I was trying to plant a crop of seed maize.

The tractor started giving me trouble and it was breaking down all the time.

I was falling behind. Time was almost up for the optimum planting season and I didn’t know what to do.

And I was standing at the headland one day and then all of a sudden, I heard the noise of a lot of tractors coming on the road.

Stop Meddling

Eventually, they allowed him to go.

I think with two or three huge swipes, he dropped that tree, and afterward, you could see, it looked like a plane had gone through that tree.

Why? Because he had prepared himself before the competition.

Forgive

we had a day of fasting and prayer in the church.

And I went into town to get spares and I walked into that church by myself, in my overalls, and I went up to the altar rails to pray.

And as I was about to get down on my knees, you know you feel that somebody watching you…

He Will Carry You

Well, I want to think back to when I was a small boy. My dad was a blacksmith.

They worked with steel all day.

My dad was in the gym 18 hours a day but yet was one of the most gentle men that I ever knew.

You know, he had a back as wide as a door. He had fingers like sausages. He had a grip like a vice-grip but he was so gentle with me and my brother and sister.

We Must Change Our Outlook

I want to tell you about a famous Scottish king. His name was Robert The Bruce.

He was being defeated by the enemy. He had lost everything. He was hiding in a cave and he didn’t know what to do.

And he looked at a spider. A spider was building a web and he was trying to get across from the one side of the room to the other.

And he watched that spider and the spider kept going back and forwards, back and forward until eventually, he got to the other side.

And Robert The Bruce realized that if he continued to persevere he could win the battle. He then went out and won and had the victory.

The Family Of God

And as we walked into the church, just before the church, there were a whole lot of vendors on the side of the road and they were selling fruit and they were selling curios and so on.

And I walked up to one little trailer and there was a lovely looking, old dignified man with a white beard, a swarthy man - but what a kind face he had, and he was selling fruit.

And I said to him, “Sir, are you a Christian?”

He said, “Yes. I am a follower of Jesus!”

A Place Of Refuge

You know the Bible says in Hebrews, Chapter 13 and verse 2:

“Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels”.

Sometimes you don’t know who that person is that you are taking care of.

We really need to be sensitive to one another.
