We Must Change Our Outlook
If we go to the Book of Deuteronomy in the Old Testament, Chapter 1 and verse 6:
"The LORD our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: 'You have dwelt long enough at this mountain.”
And then we go on to verse 25:
“It is a good land which the LORD our God is giving us.”
Oh my dear friend, it is long enough. We must move on now. We cannot continue to keep going around the same mountain.
Remember, if you are not going forward you are actually going backwards.
That step-ladder - you are either going up the ladder or you are going down the ladder but you are not standing at a neutral place.
I remember that beautiful scripture, Philippians, Chapter 4 and verse 13 which says: “I can do all things through Christ Jesus, who strengthens me.”
That verse was woven onto the jerseys of the 7 Aside Fiji Rugby Team. It is not by accident that they seem to continually be world champions.
We must change our outlook. We have been going around that mountain for long enough.
William Carey took the Gospel to India. He said, “Attempt great things for God and expect great things from God.”
Remember, the darker the sky, the brighter the stars shine. We have got to walk by faith and not by sight.
I want to tell you about a famous Scottish king. His name was Robert The Bruce.
He was being defeated by the enemy. He had lost everything. He was hiding in a cave and he didn’t know what to do.
And he looked at a spider. A spider was building a web and he was trying to get across from the one side of the room to the other.
And he watched that spider and the spider kept going back and forwards, back and forwards, until eventually he got to the other side.
And Robert The Bruce realized that if he continued to persevere he could win the battle. He then went out and won and had the victory.
We need to move on. We have dwelt long enough at this mountain.
God bless you.
Have a wonderful day and go and attempt great things for God and He will see you through.
