Christ in You

Jesus said, “Assuredly I say to you, among those who are born of woman, there is not one who has not risen one greater than John the Baptist, but he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven, is greater than he.”
— Matthew 11:11

Never been born of a woman, a man greater than John the Baptist, a selfless man - and yet the Lord says that those who are the least in God’s Kingdom are greater than John the Baptist. What did the Lord mean?

He meant that a person who is born again - a person who has asked the Holy Spirit into his life, a person who has repented of his sins - they might be just a street-sweeper or an elderly person in a home, he might just be a person that no-one knows - is greater than John the Baptist.

Jesus has made an incredible way, an opportunity for you and me.

We all know that scripture so well: “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13

You see it is Christ in me, who can conquer every difficulty or situation. It doesn’t matter what we are going through. It makes no difference what age we are, it makes no difference what education we have, what gender we are or what class or creed we are. It is all about Jesus Christ in us that counts!

Colossians 1:27 says: “Christ in you, the hope of glory”

And that’s what I love about the Lord - He is no respecter of persons.

There is one man I want to meet when I get to Heaven, I have heard so much about him. He is a man who allowed Jesus Christ to come into his life and change him forever - His name is Nicholas Bhengu of the Zulu nation. His nickname was Mkhulu, which means grandfather.

He was a holiness preacher and also a professional court interpreter.

He went across to America and when they heard this man of God preaching they said: "He is the Billy Graham of Africa”. But he paid a price for his ministry like most evangelists do, unfortunately. Twice he was expelled from his birthplace for his faith and his stand for Jesus. He was regarded as a heretic - but I am so looking forward to meeting him.

He would go into townships on the Reef in Johannesburg and where there was chaos, where the police couldn’t quell the crowds, he would go in and preach the Gospel and calm would come over the place. He had an incredible healing ministry. Wherever I go, in South Africa and I speak to some of the senior men they tell me about the great man, Nicholas Bhengu, who brought thousands to Christ through preaching the Gospel.

The Lord Jesus says to you and me, very clearly - he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than John the Baptist.

Have a wonderful day and God bless you.
