Stop Saying Sorry...

Stop saying sorry, all the time. Jesus says, “First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.“ Matthew 5:24.

Actions always speak louder than words, we need to be doers of God’s Word and not just talkers. Don’t tell your spouse that you love them, but show them in deeds and in actions that you truly love them. Ladies still love a bunch of flowers, and men still love that favourite meal you cook so well.

Go and say that you are sorry for the offense caused, even if you didn’t start the argument. Don’t text them but rather go and see them personally. Charity (love), always begins at home - sometimes the hardest place to be a Christian, because we know each other so well.

Jesus desires mercy, not sacrifice (Hosea 6:6).

Instead of continually saying I am sorry for losing my temper, rather just stop doing it. The Lord tells us very clearly that He would rather we obey his commands, than continually bring sacrifices to the Temple and not change our ways.

So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams”.
— 1 Samuel 15:22

The one area in our lives that keeps a lot of people from following Jesus is that of our actions, as Christians, we don’t always follow our words and our promises!

Don’t keep telling Jesus that you love Him, rather show Him that you love Him by your actions .
