Not a Word

Not a Word - Blog Update
But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.
— Matthew 27: 14 (NKJV)

Sometimes it is more effective to hold our tongues when, as Christians, we are criticised for our faith. Not easy, but more impactful then shouting our mouths off and trying to defend the Name of our Lord Jesus.

C. H. Spurgeon uses the following example: "Like the little boy running up and down outside the lions cage trying to defend the huge black maned lion from naughty boys throwing stones at the lion. All the little boy had to do was open the gate and let the lion out!"

Today let our words be few, and let our actions and lifestyles speak more loudly.

God bless,
