Praise God For The Young People
I have got a young sheep farmer down in the Karoo in South Africa, and he has taken over the Mighty Men Conferences that are taking place, right throughout the world.
Why? Because we handed over the baton and gave them an opportunity. Oh, I am still there but I am there to watch them.
My favourite age groups to speak to are the late teens and the early twenties. I just love young people.
We have a church on the farm here.
We can seat 500 people (before the Covid 19 came into place). I am the oldest man in the fellowship, and I love it, and I sit in the crowd and I listen and they teach me.
By the way, these pastors - I lead them to The Lord, but now they are teaching me about the Word of God.

Two Roads
I remember many years ago, going to Swaziland, and at Manzini, they have got a huge stadium, and we had a massive campaign there, and on the Sunday, the King Mswati, himself, arrived with all his entourage.
It was a great occasion. I was actually wearing my Scottish Tartan that day, and that seemed to amuse him greatly, as he was dressed in his traditional robes.
God gave me a clear word to give to him in front of all of the people.
I will never forget it. It was with fear and trembling, I brought him the word.
I said to him, “Your majesty…

What Is A Legacy?
You know, there is a very dear friend of mine, him and his dear wife live in a small bachelor flat in Harare, Zimbabwe.
He is a senior man, in my age group.
He was an extremely successful commercial farmer. He had an agricultural college and a school on his farm.
He took care of the poor and the rural people, but he was unjustly chased off his farm, at the point of a machete.
But this man, before he left, with only his shirt on his back, he asked the perpetrators if…

The Race Of Our Lives
This Covid 19, Coronavirus that we are involved in, we are running literally, the race of our lives.
You see, this race has never, ever been run before. It is the first one in the history of this world.
When someone has been there or done it before, it is very encouraging and inspiring and it even makes it easier for us.
For example, Bruce Fordyce, the multiple gold medal winner of the Comrades Marathon, shows us that it can be done.
Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tensing conquered the highest mountain on earth, and showed us that it can be done, but this deadly Coronavirus,
with all its deadly tentacles, those attributes like fear, hopelessness, uncertainty, has never ever happened before.
This is the time for us to seriously look to Jesus, to wait on The Lord, to renew our strength, to mount up with wings like eagles, not to be weary but to keep on walking, and Jesus Himself will bring us through.

God Of All Gods
When I went into the palace, I was warmly welcomed into the palace, myself and my Induna.
He is illiterate and I am semi-illiterate so we made a good pair, and they put us in two chairs, and the king was sitting on his throne.
The elders were crawling in on their knees to speak to him about business affairs and then crawling out backwards, never turning their back on the king.
The wives were seated around him on grass mats, and then he looked up and he said to me in pure Zulu, the King’s Zulu - excuse the pun,
(Angus speaks Zulu) “I want the farmer to testify about the power of God.”

A Public Confession Of Our Faith
You know, I know of many men who are praying and reading the Bible, in front of their staff every morning before they go to work. They are giving the glory to Jesus.
I have seen sporting teams giving honour to God for winning their championship and that is where the power comes from.
You know Jesus said, “If you deny Me before men, I will deny you before My Father.”
So folks, go out today and tell people,”I am not ashamed to tell you that I am a follower of the soon-coming King Jesus.”

Make Your Stand For Jesus
I remember, my oldest son, on his wedding - he made me so very proud.
With all his friends present and our large family gathered together at a hotel at that beautiful reception, he made the groom’s speech.
His beautiful bride was seated right next to him and he was in his mid-twenties at the time.
And he stood up, and he put his shoulders back and he lifted up his head, and he said this very scripture that I have just quoted from Joshua Chapter 24 and verse 15.
He said, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Bless The Lord O My Soul
I have a place I will describe to you. It is in Northern Zambia.
It is the area and the place where they buried Dr David Livingstone’s heart under a tree. I walk down a little path. High elephant grass is on both sides. It is a tropical rain forest with many small birds singing.
I sit down upon a fallen tree log on the side of the path. A gentle breeze is blowing the reeds in the swamp, just ahead of me, and they are moving back and forward, dancing for The Lord.
Out of the quietness in the distance, I hear the call of the mighty African Fish Eagle. I worship God and I renew my strength. Isaiah 40:31.
Just then I hear the announcement over the microphone that Flight Number 325 is now boarding for Nashville, Tennessee.
Totally refreshed, I get up and get ready for the next stage of my journey.

Authority
The opposition of unbelievers and satan himself shall never succeed since God is for us.
It reminds me of that little, small, puny traffic officer who steps out onto the highway and puts his hand up and stops a thirty ton truck carrying timber or some heavy cargo, in its tracks.
That driver puts on brakes, he puts on his flashes and he pulls over instantly, and this little man walks up and he asks for his license and does a complete thorough check.
He is wearing a badge on his cap you see, and he is representing the whole nation.

Misunderstanding
You see, dad is not speaking at the moment, children, because he is very worried.
He doesn’t know if he is going to be retrenched next month.
Mom is short and snappy because she doesn’t know if she is going to have a meal to put on the table tomorrow.
The boss is pushing unreasonably hard because he doesn’t want to lay off any of his workers.
But you think otherwise, you see, because that is perception. We have got to stop that.

Knocking On Your Heart
There was an old miller and he was too busy making money to be concerned about his spiritual well-being but this old miller got very sick, to the point of death.
He asked his family to put his bed next to the mill so that he could hear the grinding of the corn which was making the money.
A preacher came and visited him on his deathbed.
He tried to speak to him about his life after death, about his salvation, but the miller’s response was, “I can’t hear you! I can’t hear you above the deafening noise of the grinding mill.”
He could not and he did not hear The Lord Jesus knocking because the noise of making money was deafening.

Hunt With The Hounds
I heard a story, a very sad story many years ago, about a lovely young girl from a Christian home, who decided to marry a rabid, card-carrying communist - an atheist who does not even believe in God.
Her parents were devastated.
They said, “How could you do that?”
She said, “Dad, Mom,” with tears in her eyes, “He is the first man that I have ever met who actually wholeheartedly believes in what he is standing for.”

Moving Slowly
…He moved slowly. He always looked like he wasn’t doing much and I would become very agitated at times, because I am confessing my sins today, I was always running around, flat out and I would come to him and say, “Crichton please, this fence must be up by this afternoon. We are moving a herd of cattle into this field early tomorrow morning.”
He would just smile and say, “No problem.”
By knock-off time that fence, that gate, was standing beautifully straight. The wire strands were so tight you felt like you could play a tune on them.

All Hands On Deck
I remember like yesterday, It was struggling as a young farmer.
I was in the shed. I was trying to weld up a broken implement.
I am not a very good welder, and as I was trying to weld this thing, I felt somebody was standing behind me.
I stopped, I looked at my welding helmet. There was a young, handsome young farmer but he looked quite perplexed

Believers Go To Heaven
I can just imagine a CEO of a large company coming in, maybe an organisation that has been feeding tens of thousands of people, doing lots of good works, and he will have a list there, and he will tell Our Heavenly Father all the good things that he has done.
Our Heavenly Father will look down to His Son, the Defense Attorney and He will only ask one question. He will say to His Son, “Do you know this man?”
Jesus will sadly shake His head and say, “I have never heard of him before, and then the Judge will say to the prosecutor, “Take him away.”
And then an old lady will walk in…

He Is Greater
Well, a few weeks went passed, and then one night I was sound asleep with my young wife and children, and I heard cows in the garden.
I got up and I saw someone in the middle of the night, had left the gate open, and the cows were in the garden, eating Jill’s flowers.

One Miracle Equals A Thousand Sermons
I looked down in front of me. There was a man sitting in a chair with a pair of crutches and his leg was straight out in front of him.
I heard The Holy Spirit say, “Pray for him, so that I might heal him.”
I went down off the platform. I told them, “I am going to pray for this man and God is going to heal him.”
Of course I didn’t realize what the problem is. Just as well…

Great Moments Often Catch Us Unaware
On a quick review, I don't think that I have done anything more important in my life.
You see we're conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments.
But great moments often catch us unaware - beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one.
People may not remember exactly what you said or what you did but they will always remember how you made them feel.”

How Big Is God?
He turned around with a pen and he wrote on the wall, “17/11/89 - Angus.” And that was the start!
I got in my pick-up with a flask of coffee, in my farm clothes, and off I went to the town nearby called, Ladysmith, and I booked the town hall, and that was the beginning.
I want to ask you a question today.
Are you trusting God or are you trusting yourself?
Why don’t you allow The Lord today direct your path?
Live your dream. Do that thing that you are too scared to do but put your trust in Him and He will amaze you.
