People are watching you at this lockdown time.
Let your words be few, let them be sweet.
Encourage one another because…
We need to spend our lives on others so that we can attain eternal life that no-one can take away from us.
The Lord Jesus says in the Gospel of Matthew Chapter 40, “As much as you have done it unto the least of these, my brethren, you have done it unto me.”
So today if you are feeling a bit down, think of somebody else, write a letter, make a phone call, send a little WhatsApp and I can tell you what - you will feel a lot better after that.
Oh my dear friend, we need to build on the Word today.
We really need to memorize God’s Holy Word.
I am going to give you a scripture verse to start with today and this one is Mark, the Gospel of Mark, Chapter 11 and verse 22:
It simply says:
“Have faith in God.”
Come on now, you can memorize that!
We talk about the coronavirus but I want to tell you about someone much more powerful and much more important!
His name is The Holy Spirit…
Do you feel like you have been sifted?
Are you feeling like you have been put through a combine harvester?
The devil does not have the power to sift you.
Do not allow him one inch in your life.
Today, give your whole life and your concentration on the things of God.
This is not a physical battle that we are involved in.
This is a spiritual battle. and the only way we can fight this battle is by…
Do not be fearful, do not be lonely, do not be afraid.
He promised us He will never leave us and He will never forsake us…
We need to love our parents.
This is a commandment from God and even if they are awkward, and even if they don’t want to speak to you, you still need to love them. Why?
Because Jesus said so! That is why!
So love one another.
Love your mom, love your dad, honour them and The Lord will honour you.
There is one key that we need to operate in the home at the moment as we are in a close confined area with one another. Learn to say sorry - that is right - and diffuse any potential argument.
Remember the children are watching you.
They won’t do what you tell them.
They will do what you do.
How are we using this lockdown time?
Are we wasting it or are we using it profitably?
You know it took Jesus thirty years in obscurity, to prepare for three year's ministry.
I think that is what is gripping many people at this moment at this time and the way to combat that fear is quite simply by faith. Now, what is faith?
There is no future in the past.
If we look at the Word of God in Luke Chapter 9 and verse 62, The Lord says:
“No man having put his hand to the plough and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of Heaven.”
We need to move forward.
God is going to give us new vision.
He is going to give us a new game-plan and He is going to give us many, many new opportunities.
We are not going back to Egypt.
I remember Henry Ford saying……the man who developed the motorcar, the Model T Ford which was always black in colour and his young men would come and say, “Can we paint it another color?”
He used to say, “You can paint it any colour you like, as long as it stays black.”
And I used to tell that to my sons until one day, my oldest son, Andy said, “But dad, that was his downfall because all the other companies were painting their motorcars different colours.
We are moving forward.
We are not staying back.
Peter felt totally unworthy.
He had denied his Saviour three times and he probably thought, “There is no more chance for me. I am condemned forever.”
But no, …”Tell my disciples and Peter…” The Lord loves you my dear friend and He loves me, so much that He died for us.
It doesn’t matter what is happening in your life. It doesn’t matter how you are feeling today.
Just say two words, "But God!" "But God!"
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.”
“Greater love has no man than a man lay down his life for his friend.”
That is the greatest thing we can do for each other, is to give ourselves to each other.
I want to say to the men of the house, particularly, I have heard reports that some men are walking around like caged lions because they cannot get out and they cannot do anything.
This is a time to sit still…
I want to encourage as you build up towards the Easter celebration, to really seek the face of God and start to speak about the things that are pertaining to eternity and eternal life.
We are heavenly people.
We are not of those of the dust.
I would encourage you to spend lots of time with Jesus this week.
This will be the most unique Easter that the world has ever seen since The Lord was resurrected 2000 years ago.
Many of you are worried about what the future holds. How do we handle it?
