Sowing

Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.
2 Corinthians 9:10

A very reputable seed company, which operates very near our farm, put up a slogan years ago, which I have never forgotten and think is absolutely priceless. It says, “Good seed does not cost, it pays.”  We need to keep sowing good seed, namely the Word of God, the Bible, because when we put good seed into the ground, we can expect a very good return.

In previous years we have been warned by the Department of Agriculture that el nino is on its way and to not sow all your fields, only those that are guaranteed to yield good crops. What happens is, the farmers tend to hold back on their seed, they sow very sparingly and of course, they can only expect a very average return. But when we sow generously, whether it be giving to the poor, whether it be investing in things which have eternal value, like the Word of God, we are guaranteed a good return because the Lord will ensure that our seed does not go to waste.

So today sow plenty of good seed and expect a wonderful return.
