Keep in Mind

In Matthew 16:8-9, we see the Disciples arguing amongst themselves about who should have brought the bread for the journey and now they had nothing to eat. And how Jesus rebuked them: “O you of little faith, why do you reason among yourselves because you have brought no bread?” Then the Master reminded them how He had fed 5,000 men with a mere 5 loaves of bread.

It is good to remember where we have come from,
and how Jesus has never let us go without.

Not physical bread nor spiritual bread, He has always fed us, and with lots of bread left over. It is for this reason that Joshua put 12 stones by the river Jordan, as a reminder of how God miraculously opened the river so that the Israelites could pass over on dry ground (Joshua 4:5-9). The mighty prophet Samuel did the same thing - he took a stone and placed it at Mizpah as a reminder of how God had been with them in the battle, giving them the victory over their enemies. He called it Ebenezer, which means “thus far the Lord has helped us." ( 1 Samuel 7:12).

We need to do the same for it will enhance our faith greatly!

God bless,
