The Foolishness of the Cross
Sitting in my hotel room in one of the most famous cities in the world, Jerusalem, the sun has not risen yet. It is still quite dark because it is winter in ‘David's Royal City’, and having my systematic quiet time - God is speaking to me almost audibly through His Holy Word, the Bible.
He is saying to you and me that, to the unbeliever, those who are perishing, the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is a total failure and absolute foolishness. But to those of us who are being saved, it is the power of God! 1 Corinthians 1:18.
This morning we will take the tour group to the Garden Tomb and each one of those very blessed folk will see that the tomb of Jesus is empty. There are no dead man's bones to see. He is risen. He is not dead - Jesus is alive and very well, hallelujah!
So we see it is not foolishness at all, but a miraculous move and work of Father God to save a dying, desperate world. That is the only hope we have for South Africa, for the mighty coming revival, that will surely save our beloved Nation from destruction.
Romans 8:11, says: “But if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
My dear friend, Jesus is very much alive here in Jerusalem. Today He is reminding you and me that He is also alive in your very being. Speak to Him and seek counsel from Him, find comfort and guidance - truly He will not leave, nor forsake you! Hebrews 13:5
As we take the tour group of over 200 precious pilgrims to the garden tomb this morning, I cannot wait to show them the tomb, because it is empty. The Master is not there. He is alive and working in our lives through the power of His Holy Spirit.
Go in peace today, wherever you might be in the World. Knowing and believing that the power of God goes with you.
Much love to you from Jesus Country, Israel!
