Let Us Eat The Bread Of Life

Just one word, study. Study! 2 Timothy Chapter 2 and verse 15 and 16:

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.”

Oh, what an opportunity to spend more time reading the Bible!

We are in this lockdown situation. We have the time!

Let us spend it wisely. Let us eat the bread of life, fresh out of the oven, every single morning when we wake up.

Oh, you know the Word of God is like a compass. That’s right.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.” Psalm 119 and verse 105.

We don’t have to do any more guessing.

It is a guidepost. The Word of God will direct you in what you need to do and what you don’t need to do.

It is sure. It never ever fails.

You see, the Word of God is actually Jesus, Himself in print.

That’s right. If we go to 1 John Chapter 5 and verse 7, the Word of God tells us that there are three who bear witness in Heaven: The Father, The Word, and The Holy Spirit.

So who is the Word? Yes, the Word is Jesus.

Oh, my friend, you know how much I love the Bible.

You will never see a photograph of me without holding my agricultural manual, my Bible - the Book that gives me life every day!

It is such a precious book.

I remember visiting a Muslim man once, to go and have a cup of tea with him, and I went into his lovely home, I sat down on a chair and I took my Bible and I put it down on the carpet while he was making some tea.

When he came through, he said, “Please sir, don’t put that book on the carpet. Put it on the coffee table. It is a precious book.”

There is power in the Word of God!

I don’t know how many times I have prayed the Word of God over sick people and God has healed them.

It is not negotiable. You don’t have to argue with anybody.

That is why Smith Wigglesworth, that English plumber, had such an amazing ministry - something like twelve people raised from the dead through his ministry. Why? Because he said, “God said it! I believe it and that settles it!” There is no need to argue about the Word of God.

And then lastly, the Word of God, the Bible, is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.

It brings you comfort. It has brought me many, many times when I have been in dire straits, that word has brought me comfort. It brings me hope and it is full of love.
