Harvest Time

Dear friends, I greet you in Jesus' precious name.

We are now well on our way into the year of 2018 and I must be honest with you, there is just one thing that comes up so brightly in my spirit man and that is ‘harvest time.’ I see it in beautiful golden ripe letters. The Scripture that God has given me to confirm this is found in John 4:35 (NKJV), “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!”

Harvest Time

It is not the time for ploughing. I really believe that the ploughing has been done. I believe that the deep ripping of the soil has also been done, the breaking of fallow land has been done, the disking has been done, the seedbed has been prepared, the crop has been planted, the germination has been found to be good, the growth is phenomenal, the drying off has been completed and we are looking at the golden harvest waiting to be reaped, but in order to that we need faith in God.

My prayer for you this year, is that God will increase your faith.

That is exactly what the disciples asked Jesus to do in Luke 17:5 (NKJV), “And the apostles said to the Lord: “increase our faith.” What are you believing for this year? I trust that you are believing for a great harvest. You see what you say is what you get - we need to move away from a negative outlook in our lives, in our families and in the nation. We need to start to be more optimistic. The Oxford dictionary defines the word optimism as follows: "Hopefulness and confidence about the future or the success of something."

If God is on the throne, as we believe He is, we have nothing to be afraid of. We need to call those things that aren’t as if they are.

We need to “walk by faith and not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7) and “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). Remember as we have said before, “the best form of defense is attack.”

Most of the faith that I have accumulated over the years has come through hardship, not through success as it were. If you have been going through a hard time in 2017, I really believe 2018 is a year of harvest for you. I believe you need to implement those things that you have learnt in 2017 and like a good farmer, start to reap the crop. If you do not reap the crop in time, it will spoil when the Spring rains come. There is a season for harvesting. This is your season, 'Use it or lose it!'

We need to take advantage of this particular season which God has given to us. May God bless you as you look forward to what God has install for you in this beautiful year of 2018. My dear friend, remember we are one year closer to the coming of the Saviour of the world and for me that is the ultimate. I cannot wait for the day, but until then I will choose to walk by faith and not by sight. I will choose to believe the promises of God and not the lies of the devil. I will choose to believe what He says about me, my family, my country and this world. Like never before we have an opportunity to bring in a great harvest. Let’s do it together.

God bless you
Angus and Jill
